Even though I’ve never met Anita Moorjani and Kyle Cease in person, it feels like they’re my friends! First I came across Anita’s book (her first one), which moved me deeply. Then I came across Kyle’s videos on-line, which made me laugh. Both individuals are fun, heart-full and wise. Such beautiful souls! Humble, not out to prove anything, they inspire me to smile, breathe, stop taking myself so blinkin’ seriously and BE. (Why is that so hard?) I’ve attached a cool video of them below, but first it seems fitting that I provide a little more information.
Anita Moorjani
Don’t worry too much about “getting it right.” When our only purpose is to be our self, we can’t get it wrong!
Anita Moorjani
In February 2006, Anita Moorjani had a near death experience and shared her story in Dying to be Me, My Journey from Cancer to Near Death, to True Healing. Anita wrote about her early life and the inner and outer (social, cultural etc.) stories/pressures growing up that led to her illness. Oh my, how powerful are the stories that we take on as children, designed to help us adapt and survive. Anita reveals how subconsciously they can eventually affect us enormously in terms of health and everything else.
Anita was an “unknown” until Wayne Dyer, struggling with cancer himself at the time, heard her story. He was so inspired he tracked her down, encouraged her to publish a book and helped her do just that, with Hay House.
Kyle Cease
And I love that!
Kyle Cease
Kyle was, and in a manner of speaking still is, a stand-up comic–one with heart! A fitting label is “transformational comedian.” I love how he’s not afraid to use his own life, his feelings, “failures” and foibles to facilitate people getting free of their self-imposed limitations. For example, his “Limitation Game Interactive” and his book “I Hope I Screw This Up: How Falling In Love with Your Fears Can Change the World.” I love his understated humour too! Notice a subtle example within the 1st 30 seconds of the below video.
Most helpful of all for me is Kyle’s “and I love that!” It’s a wonderful way to lower the resistance we feel re: the “yuck” in our lives. It’s resistance that amps up the fear, pain or whatever. I may feel a headache is about to escalate, tighten to “prevent” it (yeah?) and the tension in my head gets even worse. If I remember to counter my fearful thought with “and I love that,” it’s positively refreshing to notice the tension dissipate. Sometimes the headache even goes away. 🙂 Loving to accept, not resisting to squelch is the key. It frees up our life energy.
Anyway, please do ENJOY this video!
Loving Makes Space for More Cool Stuff to Show Up!
