A Bridge of Light is about connecting us with our own and each other’s humanity. Goodness and beauty–as reflected in music, books, photographs, stories, inspirational quotes, etc– will be shared. Let’s celebrate what makes life good and what can make it even better.
The Song that Inspired Me
My website used to be called “Building a Bridge of the Heart between China and the West.” I wanted to widen the lens, so to speak, and also wanted to keep China prominent by having it in my menu.
What new name would I choose? A song helped me out. As soon as I heard the lyrics, the melody and Pink’s powerful singing of “Bridge of Light,” I knew!
What Does a Bridge of Light Mean to You?
For me it’s about connection with self and others, in a spirit of love and understanding. I posed the question to a number of others. Here are their responses:
- “A rainbow. It means an opportunity to get somewhere better, to have a brighter future.”
- “Love, healing, higher purpose, higher vibration, connecting with our Higher Self.”
- “A bridge goes both ways. Going inside and discovering ourselves and amazing gifts we never knew we had…Then reaching out to those in pain who need to know what love is.”
- “A bridge of light helps us look back and connect the dots of our journey so far.”
- “Opening up to an unknown space. Discovering and trying to connect with it over an obstacle.”
- “The light of our souls. It helps us take one piece of anything and explore it and see connections with everything else. We can feel wonder, awe, respect. It’s huge and simple at the same time. That’s the magic…We just need to be open.”
“Definitely spiritual. I picture a beam of sunshine as a bridge. A connection between myself and something bigger in the Universe, a greater Being. I’ll call it God.”
What does a bridge of light mean to you? Care to share in the comments section below?
For me a bridge of light provides access to uplift-ment, to brightening my own energy then meeting and joining with others inclined the same way.
Wonderful, Janyne! Thank you. 🙂
Greetings,
Love your website. Are you familiar with the work of Dr. José Argüelles and the Circumpolar Rainbow Bridge?

I think you will enjoy the discoveries.

I am so glad you like my website. No, I’d never heard of Dr. José Argüelles and the Circumpolar Rainbow Bridge before your mention here. I just checked out an online video about this bridge. It sounds fascinating!

I can’t say understand all of it but must say that I really like the idea of generating positive energy the “equivalent of the atom bomb’s negative” to help transform our world. I also found an article saying the circumpolar rainbow bridge is not just some fanciful notion but a reality. Given how we humans know virtually nothing of all there is to know, this idea is fascinating! http://galacticspacebook.com/profiles/blogs/earth-wizard-success-the-circumpolar-rainbow-bridge-is-a-reality. Being me, I had to search some more for different sources that might be considered more “objective” or “neutral,” so to speak. I came across what appears a credible site linked with research departments at a number of universities. Posted is an article from the “International Weekly Journal of Nature.” For anyone who may be interested: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v515/n7528/full/nature13956.html.
Thanks for your info, and may I ask what “In Lak ech A la Kin Espavo” means? Google Translate was of no use.
There is a book that contains a tiny bit of light, written by Thomas Moore around 1510 :Utopia. A country where people live in harmony…..a place where gold has no value….
I just realize I have to read it again…
Hi Denis (Remige),
Your comments have helped me start my day with a smile. C’est si bon, c’est magnifique! 😉 I haven’t time right now to reply to your longer comment but will do so later today. From Colombie Britannique,

PS My almost 5 year old grand daughter Adelina is in a French immersion kindergarten. I get to dig out my high school French knowledge (ha) from another century and try to keep up with her.
